A message from your Director of Special Education:
Welcome to our new website! We understand when a child needs special
education services, they may step into a new world of teaching methods, services,
and classroom choices. Therefore, we have created this site for parents, teachers
and students. it will provide you with a basic understanding of the special
education process and resources in the Portola Valley/Woodside Special Education
Cooperative.
Our approach to special education is simple. We believe in clear and measurable goals. We believe in a team-based approach that encompasses the parent, your child, teachers, paraeducators, etc. And, we believe in open communications to ensure feedback and thoughts to improve our efforts. Over time, you will see how our solid relationship translates to a successful academic experience for our student.
So please take a few moments to review the site. In it, you will find key information to help navigate a smooth journey. And, as always, I welcome your feedback to help keep this site fresh and user friendly.
